Calvary Chapel Villages (CCV) is a Bible-based Christian fellowship located in the community of The Villages/Oxford, Florida. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Eric Ward, the church focuses on a chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse study of the Bible with a strong emphasis on practical, personal application.

The core identity, mission, and beliefs that define who we are include:

The Mission:

The central focus of Calvary Chapel Villages is built around four primary pillars:

  • Receiving from God: Cultivating a personal and communal relationship with God through His Word and prayer.
  • Investing in People: Serving others and helping individuals discover their unique spiritual gifts.
  • Sharing Life: Creating a tight-knit community where believers break bread and support one another as a church family.
  • Making Disciples: Preparing believers to actively follow Jesus and share the Gospel in anticipation of His return.

Key Beliefs & Foundations

As a Calvary Chapel fellowship, the church holds to traditional, evangelical Christian theology, prioritizing the following:

  • The Authority of Scripture: Believing the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant, and final authority for faith and practice.
  • The Triune God: Believing in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
  • The Gospel: Recognizing that salvation is a free gift received through faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for humanity’s sins and bodily rose again.
  • Church Ordinances: Practicing full immersion water baptism for believers and regularly partaking in the Lord’s Supper (Communion).

Active Ministries

CCV fosters community growth and spiritual maturity through several distinct ministry efforts:

  • Women’s Ministry: Designed to teach God’s Word, foster sisterhood, and build relationships among the women of the church.
  • Men’s Ministry: Focused on accountability, building transparent relationships, and encouraging men to lead godly, Spirit-filled lives.
  • Care & Prayer Teams: Serving the church body through bereavement support, meal assistance, and weekly corporate prayer gatherings.
  • Worship & Music: Combining biblical truth with music to lead the congregation in focused worship.
