We often hear the declaration that something comes with a money back guarantee.  You can get back what you have invested.  In Christ Jesus, He paid the price, made the investment, purchased our salvation.  Yet, we still have a guarantee.  The price was a person, Jesus Himself.  The guarantee is also a person, the Holy Spirit.  2 Cor. 5:5. We also have that guarantee in writing; the Word of God.  Every promise of God is the guarantee expressed and laid out for us.  This is why we need to understand two things.......

September has begun in a literal whirlwind called Dorian.  It is an important month for various reasons.  Therefore, let me give you some things to pray about as that is the most important ministry we have…..to connect with God and get in on His plans for us. Remember those who are in the track of Dorian.  Regardless of its final path, a Cat 5 is deadly and destructive. Pray for God’s favor on us and the Wildwood Country Resort with the Sumter County Planning board that will make its decision......

It is hard to wrap my mind around the fact that next Sunday … September arrives.  For those of us here, we look forward to cooler temperatures.  But we also look forward to the return of many of you who have been away for various lengths of time.  We have missed you and hope you look as forward to your return as we do. It has been a blessed summer.  We have numerous new folks who have joined us and become an active part of our church body.  We have had wonderful......

Sometimes I just need to stop and say thank you.  Paul clearly expresses what is on my heart in Philippians 1:3-6.  “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you with all joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” You are a remarkable church family and yesterday was just......

Yesterday we saw in 2 Corinthians 2, there is nothing more that the enemy wants to do than to rip relationships apart. At the same time, there is nothing more pleasing to God than our being agents of restoring broken relationships. After all, that is exactly why Jesus came. When we make this a priority of our daily interaction with people, it is a wonderful fragrance to God. So here is my prayer for each of us. Heavenly Father, may we always be aware in the Spirit, of the devices that......

How long has it been since you comforted someone?  Did it feel awkward?  When you allow the God of all comfort to be your comforter in the time of trouble, you will have what you need to comfort others.  The reason is simple.  Comfort means to relieve pain through encouragement.  God does this for us by drawing us unto Himself.  His presence is the greatest comfort of all.  Then Christ Jesus has the ability to give comfort through us as others have need. My prayer for you is that you will so......

“But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard:  he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My Word and reveres My commands,” said the LORD  .  And again He says , “For this is what the high and lofty One says – He who lives forever, Whose Name is Holy:  ‘I live in a high and holy place but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly......

Two questions: 1.  Are you serving the Lord? 2.  Are you serving in confidence? You can do both according to 1 Cor. 15:58.  “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable.  Always work enthusiastically for the Lord for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”  (NLT) In fact, in John 15, we are told that if we abide in Christ we will bear much fruit. This is proof that we are His disciples and it brings glory to the Father. My prayer for all of......

In John 14:15-17 & 26, Jesus teaches, “If you love me, obey my commandments.  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth … when the Father sends the Advocate as My Representative – that is, the Holy Spirit – He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” What an authentic manifestation of the Holy Spirit we experienced in Your presence today, Lord.  I pray......

Yesterday afternoon I began praying Ephesians 3:16-21 for each of our CCV Family …             “Father God, I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources, that You will empower Your CCV Family through Your Spirit with inner strength.  For as we trust in Him, we want Christ to make Himself at home in our hearts.” So may your roots grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand (to grasp the significance of), as all God’s people should, how......
