Sunday, October 13th until Sunday, October 20th is the Feast of Tabernacles. It is a celebration of the fall harvest, a type of Thanksgiving Day for the Jews. It was a time of remembering how the Lord provided for them while they wandered in the wilderness. While we have been on this Daniel Fast, we have gone through several of the Holy Days of the Hebrew Calendar, starting with the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and now the Feast of Tabernacles. Each of those feasts foreshadow Christ in some way......

From sundown Tuesday October 8th to sundown Wednesday October 9th is what is known as Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. This is one of the most sacred days in the Hebrew Calendar. It was the only time the High Priest could enter into the Holy of Holies and make atonement for the sins of the people. It was established by God while the Jews were wandering in the wilderness. They were given command by God as to how they should prepare themselves. Leviticus 23:27; ” Also the tenth day of......

The main events in the spread of the Gospel in the early church were, First: the sending out of apostles. Second: establishing of new converts through the appointment of elders. It is significant that the early church did neither of these without first fasting and seeking God’s supernatural direction and help. It would be safe to say that the growth and expansion of the early church practiced corporate fasting. Last week Pastor Steve read from 2 Corinthians 6. I would like to follow from 2 Corinthians 6: 4-6 to carry on with......

To fast or not to fast, that is the question.  I hope all of you realize that there are other ways to fast than from food.  The most important thing is, “am I so hungry for God and desire to be found in prayer with Him, that I am willing to sacrifice something for that purpose?”  We can fast from television, games, or anything else that may distract us from what matters most. As we enter into the Daniel Fast, may I request that you give serious thought and prayer to your......

We often hear the declaration that something comes with a money back guarantee.  You can get back what you have invested.  In Christ Jesus, He paid the price, made the investment, purchased our salvation.  Yet, we still have a guarantee.  The price was a person, Jesus Himself.  The guarantee is also a person, the Holy Spirit.  2 Cor. 5:5. We also have that guarantee in writing; the Word of God.  Every promise of God is the guarantee expressed and laid out for us.  This is why we need to understand two things.......

September has begun in a literal whirlwind called Dorian.  It is an important month for various reasons.  Therefore, let me give you some things to pray about as that is the most important ministry we have…..to connect with God and get in on His plans for us. Remember those who are in the track of Dorian.  Regardless of its final path, a Cat 5 is deadly and destructive. Pray for God’s favor on us and the Wildwood Country Resort with the Sumter County Planning board that will make its decision......

Sometimes I just need to stop and say thank you.  Paul clearly expresses what is on my heart in Philippians 1:3-6.  “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you with all joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” You are a remarkable church family and yesterday was just......

Yesterday we saw in 2 Corinthians 2, there is nothing more that the enemy wants to do than to rip relationships apart. At the same time, there is nothing more pleasing to God than our being agents of restoring broken relationships. After all, that is exactly why Jesus came. When we make this a priority of our daily interaction with people, it is a wonderful fragrance to God. So here is my prayer for each of us. Heavenly Father, may we always be aware in the Spirit, of the devices that......
