Merry Christmas CCV Family!    Many people groups around the world celebrate Christmas.  In America, almost everyone celebrates in some way, even if they are unfamiliar with Jesus.  In our neighborhood there is a yard occupied with oversized, air-filled, cartoon characters.  There are lots of dogs, reindeer, Santas, Mickey Mouse, an airplane and a huge, blown-up sign saying, “Merry Christmas.”  But there is not one single hint of the Person’s birthday that the holiday was supposedly designed for.    The world celebrates Christmas with many traditions and outward expressions.  But for those of us who are believers, our celebration......

Preparation for Suffering and Persecution As Americans we are well aware of all kinds of preparation.  We prepare for getting married, for going on a vacation, for our life’s work, for a move, for events, and so on.  We are not unfamiliar with the need for preparation, nor the value of it.  This line of thinking caused me to wonder about the need for preparation in what is to come on a daily basis.  Steve’s messages through Matthew are presently camping out in what is to come concerning “persecution.”  My thoughts about......

5/26/22 A Written Message From Pastor Steve Good morning! Our summer has begun. Most of our snow-birds have flown the coop. Many are already coming and going with seasonal travel. Hence our written segment today, as our videographer is out of state. This is not a time to be lax. God is working in wonderful ways and we have great expectation for what He is going to do in all of us during this slower season. Whether you are here, away for the season, or making a shorter trip, let me encourage......

TABLE TIME MESSAGE  February 10, 2022  Below are three statements that were on the big screens last Sunday that we need to remember as we grow and proceed with God’s plan for us in the days ahead.    1.   We need to thoroughly search the Scriptures and listen to the Heart of God.  “These (the Bereans) were more fair-minded   than those in Thessalonica,   in that they received the Word with all readiness,   and searched the Scriptures daily   to find out whether these things are true.”    Acts 17:11 NKJV  If we......

TABLE TIME MESSAGE. 1/13/2022 From Pastor Steve Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I am writing to you today instead of coming by video. Please allow me to do a little “cleanup” on forgiveness from the last two Sundays. This is an area that we did not cover. Colossians 1:19-20 says, “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of his cross.” As......

A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR STEVE Due to our videographer being out of town, for Table Time today, I am sending a written message, with the desire to encourage and exhort you. It is good to be done with Genesis 38, where God was completely left out of all thought and actions.  However, there is one very important aspect of that study, which I did not mention in Sunday’s message.  While it is imperative for us to be aware of the world’s pull on us to drift away from God’s intent, plan, and......

Hello Church Family, Don’t you just love how Marjie Setser begins her announcements with “Hello Church Family!!”? I certainly do! The last time Steve and I were on Table Time together we spoke about 7 of the Scripture Promises that Jesus left us. I shared that my learning ability couldn’t adequately process them in a 7-day period … hoping to help others to persevere that may have slower learning styles. Remember the “tortoise and the hare?” Well, I am the tortoise in my learning style … and Steve’s learning is more like......
