Bless Wildwood

Operation Bless Wildwood

Get ready, school is starting soon! Well, anyway according to Operation Bless Wildwood (OBW).

Operation Bless Wildwood is a loose knit organization that consists of local residents, Pastors (including CCV’s Pastor Steve), businesses and community leaders with one purpose: to bless Wildwood. They are all volunteers, which means that 100% of all donations to OBW are invested back into various projects.

Approximately 90% of students attending Wildwood schools are on public assistance which means: uniforms, pencils, paper, crayons and other school supplies usually supplied by parents is not the case here.

CCV’s OBW Liaison is Orinda Ward. Orinda has placed a “supply list” located on a table in the back of the church for anyone who would like to submit money or items for the coming school year. Also, an “Appreciation Luncheon” is held each August for the teachers and staff of the Wildwood Elementary and Middle High School. The luncheon is held at the Wildwood Community Center on Powell Road and is a catered affair. Help is needed for desserts and servers. A volunteer sign-up sheet is located on the back table. This is a fun, exciting way to be involved in OBW.

At Christmas Time an “Angel Tree” is placed in the church with items needed for the school year, such as uniforms and money for special school activities.

OBW can be reached either by email (operationblesswildwood.org) or the mailing address: Operation Bless Wildwood, PO Box 459, Wildwood, FL 34785.
